Some 40 kms from Kanchanaburi, and
just off route 3086, this area is famed for locally-minded blue
sapphires and semi-precious materials such as onyx.
Kanchanaburi Safari Park
This extensive enclave near Bo Phloi is dominated by a man-made hill
adorned with decorative pavillions. The enclave hosts numerous
African and Asian mamals, including giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers and
elephants in carefully landscaped environs.
Chaloem Rattanakosin National Park (Than Lot Cave)

97 kms from Kanchanaburi, and
north of Bo Phloi, along route 3086, this 54 sq.km park
encompasses peaceful forest, waterfalls, and several caves.
There is a 2.5-km nature trail along the stream which forms
small cascades and flows through Than Lat Yai and Than Lot
Noi Caves. These two caves have very beautiful with
stalactites and stalagmites.
