City Shrine
This shrine, on Malaiman road, placed statues of I-Suan and
Narayana engraved on green stones.
They are respectable for all Thai and Chinese people.

Town Gates
The old wall on the west side of the river and canal are still left
and now are being improved.
Thetown gate on Malaiman Rd. was rebuilt by the Fine Arts Department
at the place where the old one situated.

U-Thong National Museum
This museum at U-Thong stores artifacts and archaeological materials
found from excavations, such as tools, utensils and Buddha images
displaying human development in different ages of Suphanburi.
Culture and tradition of “Thai Song Dum” tribe people are
also on display in trible house nearby.

Wat Khae
This ancient temple where King Rama V visited in 1894, has a huge
tamarind tree which Khun Phaen used the magic to turn tamarind
leaves to be hornets fighting the enemies.
Brass Buddha’s footprint, Buddha sculptures are in the great
temple. The Thai style house “Khum Khun Phaen” was built in this
area to remind of that period.

Thai Farmer National Museum
The museum in front of Town Hall displays rice farming development
in Thailand from past till now.
Pictures and ploughing equipments which once the Crown Prince used
in rice fields at Bueng Phai Khaek in 1986 are also on display.

Don Chedi Monument
31 kilometers from the city, the monument was built to celebrate the
triumph of King Naresuan the Great over Burma in the battle on
elephant’s back in 1591.
There is the annual fair to commemorate of the great heroic.

Thai Village : “Wat Bot”
A small village, at Bang Pla Ma, still has a locally traditional
life style by dressing in their own style, and doing activities as
in those days.

Tha Sadet Bird Sanctuary
15 kilometers from the city, this bird’s living place is popular
among nuture-lovers. Forestry Division is responsible of “The Tha Sadet Bird
Conservation” here.

Phu Muang National Park
40 kilometers from the provincial city, at the right turning
U-Thong-Bo Ploi, in the responsible area of Forestry Division.
Visitors can see a 5-tiered Phu Muang waterfall, and a lot of
plants which are hardly seen.
One can go along the road which connects to Wat Tham Sue where
well-known Buddha images were made.
There is another beautiful waterfall called “Sam Nak” at the
other side of the hill.
At the foothill, there is a large natural elephant stable covering
the area of 10 rai, it was used in Dhavaravadi period. This park was announced to be the National Park many years
ago.

Amphue Dan Chang
70 kiometters from the provincial town, Dan Chang is prosperous of
beautiful natural surroundings, plentiful green forest, beautiful
waterfalls such as, Ta Poen the only place (in Central Region) where
pine trees grow in Phu Toei Sanctury National Park.
Visitors can feel traditional life styles of tribespeople
“Karen” who live in these villages for a long time.
It’s such an interesting trip for eco-travellers.

Ta-Poen Kee
51 kilometers from Dan Chang, on Ban Kluay Route, there is a Karen
village situated here for maore than 200 years.
Green forest and plentiful water source of Ta Poen Kee are
for adventure tour, Ta Poen Kee Yai, two-tiered waterfall runs all
year round. Leader and
four-wheeled drive car are needed for a journey.

Kra Seaw Dam
The longest soiled dam in Thailand, is situated on Kra Seaw lake
with 4,250 meters long and 32.5 meters high forms a scenic beautiful
attraction and is also the place for breeding stock of water fishes.

Banharn-Jamsai Tower Chalerm Patara Rachinee Park
The first and the highest 4 – storeyed tower in Thailand, on Nang
Pim Rd. Visitors can see the panoramic view of Suphanburi by
telescopes on the fourth floor and even narrated pictures of “’Khun
Chang Khun Phan”, King Naresuan the Great’s act of bravery.
There are souvenir shops and snack bars for visitors.
Chalerm Patara Rachinee park in which Banharn-Jamsai Tower is
situated, covers the area of 15 rai with botanical gardens in Thai
designed pattern, water world for recreation, playground, waterfalls
and food center.

Pine Tree Forest
It is located on Phu Toei hill 8.5 kilometers from the Sanctuary
Park Office. Visitors
can go by car and then go on foot for 2.5 kilometers until arriving
at this plentiful pine forest.
Pine trees generally grow on high places in cool climate
stand around the hilltop at Dan Chang only 700 meters above sea
level. They are 200 –
300 years old. In cold
season, the weather is fine, and the scenery is beautiful for
traveling. Visitors can
see the beauty of panoramic view or even a herd of wild life
occasionally pass by at the bottomhill.
This pine tree forest is a precious natural resource
attraction in Suphanburi.
