By Car
Surat Thani can be most conveniently reached by car from Bangkok by taking
Highway 4 (Buddha Monthon Road) to Nakhon Pathom, and thence to Chumphon via
Phetchaburi, Hua Hin and Chumphon, and thence onto Highway 401.

Nakhon Pathom-Ratchaburi Route: Start at Baromratchonni Road
or the express level 2 to Buddha Mothon IV. Then drive
along Phetkasem Road (Highway No.4). After that thurn
left at Muang District, Suratthani and go along the Highway
No.401. Again turn left to the Highway No 4142.
2)
Thonburi-Pak Tho Route: Start at Chaloem Mahanakhon Express
Highway and then go along Rama II Road. After arriving
at Pak Tho District, Ratchaburi, drive along Phetkasem Road
(High-way No.4). Then go straight on the Highway No.4.
