Fauna,
Flora & Excursions
Amazing
and vigorous tropical vegetation - with
many endemic species - await to be
discovered in the North part of Koh Yao
Noi and on Koh Yao Yai where dense
evergreen rain forest areas remain
untamed.
The stubborn vegetation suspended on the
limestone cliffs gather many rare species,
particularly the majestic and antic cycas
overhanging the shallow waters of the bay.
Mangrove swamp is invading the many rivers
of the coast. These amazing seashore
forests gather 15 species of different
trees and form a complex ecosystem where
hundreds of animal species find shelter
and reproduce.
Majestic hornbills and sea eagles, monitor
lizards, monkeys, manatees as well as
dolphins and sailfish jumping out of the
waters can often be seen during
excursions.

easily get around the Island, make a stop
at various places of interest, visit the
local market and villages etc.

a « Ballade on Koh Yao Noi ». This group

introduction to discover the local way of
living and places of interest of Koh Yao
Noi.
Make a
day tour to Ao Nang (60 min. by longtail
boat), the famous touristic beaches area
of Krabi Province, or to Koh Phi Phi
Islands (2 hours by longtail boat), you
