Hmong Soft Adventure Tour (3 days / 2 nights)

(Daily departure with English-speaking guide, and fullboard)

Tourist will have a unique opportunity to explore the hills around the north of Chiang Mai, visiting several hilltribe villages, going down the rapids in a river on inflatable rafts, trekking through the forest on the elephant backs, biking on the dirt road through the jungle and hilly countryside, and walking on the steep woodlanded hills.  Overnight stays at the Hmong Lodge with Western comfort offer hilltribe atmosphere.  The lodge features barbeque/camp-fire dinner and cultural presentations by Hmongs.

 ITINERARY (Minimum 2 persons)

Day  1

Chiang Mai –Hmong Hilltribe Lodge    (L/D)

08:00-09:00

Pick up passengers from hotels, airport, railway station and bus terminal in Chiang Mai.

09:00

Depart Chiang Mai by 4WD Land Rover or similar to hill tribe museum at Mae Rim and local market at Mae Malai.  Then continue to Baan Muang Kued of Mae Tang.

11:30-12:30

Participate in an exciting and unforgettable experience elephant safari through the rain-forested jungle for an hour include ox-cart riding.

12:30-13:30

Picnic lunch.

13:30-14:30

Embark on the inflatable rafts  for an adventurous journey down the rapids in the white and scenic Mae Tang River for about an hour (dependable on season).

14:30-16:30

Continue by four  wheeler to Baan Huey Rai, passing several villages, orchards, valleys, and rice fields.  A brief stop is made at Wat Tha Kham the most significant temple in that area.  Then continue your driving pass Saluang village and drive up hill to Baan Pang Hai, a simple village 830 metres above sea level.  And check-in for accommodation at Hmong Hilltribe Lodge.

B-B-Q dinner at the lodge followed by presentations of the Hmong tribe cultural shows and overnight.

Day  2

Hmong Hilltribe Lodge    (B/L/D)

07:00

Breakfast.

08:30-12:00

Take the four wheeler to a small village of Baan Teen Doi  where you make a short stroll to Mae Pa.  Then get into action by mountain biking to Baan Palan.  Visit a small village reservoir.  Continue biking to Baan Pong Kwaw, where there is and old temple with beautiful wall painting.

12:00

Picnic lunch.

13:30

Drive on the mountain road through Baan Pok, Baan Pang Kwai and Baan  Nong Hoi Mai.  Then get into action again by trekking or mountain biking from Nong Hoi Mai down to Mae Khi village where you can have coffee or tea in the Hmong’s kitchen.

Return to Hmong Hilltribe Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day  3

Hmong Hilltribe Lodge – Chiang Mai    (B/L)

08:00

Breakfast.

10:00

Depart the Lodge by your Land Rover or similar.  Visit Tard Mok waterfall and an orchid farm on the way.

12:00

Lunch at local restaurant.

14:00

Visit buffalo training center before transfer you to the hotel or to Chiang Mai airport

 

Our package tour prices are inclusive of transfers and tours by LAND ROVER (4WD) with English-speaking guide, rafting, mountain biking and elephant safari, ox-cart riding, baggage handling, entrance fees, meals as specified in the program (fullboard), accommodation in non-airconditioned room with hot/cold shower at the Hmong Hilltribe Lodge, service charges and VAT. 

Not included are other meals than mentioned in the program, optional tours, and expenditures of a personal nature.

Hilltrive Adventure (2 days / 1 night)

The 40-rooms Hmong Hilltribe Lodge located in the hills north of Chiang Mai offers the tourist a unique chance to experience exotic hilltribe atmosphere in relative comfort. Overnight stay at the Lodge featuring B.B.Q. dinner and cultural presentations by the Hmong Hilltribe are featured in this 2 days/1 night Hilltribe Adventure.

ITINERARY : (Minimum 2 persons)

Day 1

 Chiang Mai – Mae Saa Valley – Hmong Hilltribe Lodge  (L/D)

08:00

Leave Chiang Mai by Land Rover to visit the hilltribe museum at Mae Rim and an elephant working site.  Watch the elephants taking their daily bath in the stream before beginning to haul timber.  You will be amazed by their strength and clever teamwork.  Also visit to an orchid farm.

12:00

Lunch at local restaurant.

13:00

Depart for Baan Nong Hoi Mai  and Baan Meo Mae Khi to visit the Hmong Hilltribe villages.  A brief stop is made at the Royal Project where it teaches the hill people to grow vegetables and flowers.

19:00

B-B-Q dinner at HMONG HILLTRIBE LODGE followed by presentation of Meo Dances and overnight.

Day 2

 Hmong Hilltribe Lodge – Chiang Mai  (B/L)

Breakfast

Time at leisure to discover the activities in a hilltribe village nearby.

11:00

Leave the Lodge and drive uphill on the way to Hang Dong en route Samoeng. 

12:00

Lunch at resort on the way.

13:00

Proceed to visit the handicraft workshops at Baan Tawai (Hang Dong).  Get an insider’s view of Chiang Mai crafts people at work.

16:00

Return to Chiang Mai and transfer to your hotel.
