Location: In Sangkhlaburi district on Sangkhla buri-Three Pagoda Pass road, about 10 kilometres awayfrom the junction to Sangkhlaburi.
Characteristics: Takian Thong is a small limestone waterfall with water falling down in steps. It is under the care of Tungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctury in the west.
Outstanding Feature: Takian Thong waterfall has floors as many as tens but not outstanding as Kroeng Krawia waterfall and Dai Chong Thong waterfall, which are in also in Sangkhlaburi. What is outstanding of it is the rich forested area on the way to the waterfall, as there are flora of rare on the way to the waterfall, as there are flora of rare kinds in plenty for studying on bothsides, which is interesting and better to be madea nature-study route. The only disadvantage of it is that in the rainy season, the water is so abundant that the waterfall is flooded out, almost impossible to see its different floors.
Facilities: In the rainy season there will be no shops and facilities in the waterfall area to serve the tourists as there a parking lot and toilets.
The right season to go: All seasons are possible, especially in summer and cool season between December - April. In the rainy season, the water will flood the waterfall with not floors remain.
How to go: At the junction before entering Sangkhlaburi, there is a small road on the left of Sangkhlaburi-Three Pagoda Pass route. Turn left and further for about 10 kilometers. Carefully notice an asphalt road on the left and go along the road for about 9 kilometers to find the park ranger unit for obtaining permission to find the park ranger unit for obtaining permission to the waterfall and the parking lot. Then walk further for another 500 meters, the waterfall is there.
