Wat Phra Sing:
This temple, located by the Kok River near the City Hall, is where Phra Buddha Si-hing, the Buggha Image which is now enshrined at Lai Kham Image Hall at Wat Phra Sing in Chiang Mai, was housed.

Phra buddha Si-hink used to be in Kamphaengpetch and was brought to Chiang Mai by Chao Maha Bhrama, brother of King Guena of Chiang Mai. Later, Phrachao Maha Bhrama asked the King's permission to take the Buddha Image to Chiang Rai for casting a replica. After King Guena's death and the throne was succeeded by his nephew Phra Chao Saen Muang, Chao Maha Bhrama planned to usurp the throne by leading his troops to Chiang Mai. Phra Chao Saen Muang was able to protect the city and fought Chao Maha Bhrama back to Chiang Rai. And it was since then that Phra Buddha Si-hink returned to be enshrined at Wat Phra Sing in Chiang Mai
