Suanluang Park (Suanluang Rama 9)

A public park was made on a purpose of a cerebration of His Majesty's 60th Birthday Anniversary in 1987, with the fullest co-operation of the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority. Suan Luang Rama IX Park is divided into six Areas.
 1. Homage to His Majesty
 2. The Botanical Garden
 3. The Resevoir
 4. Rommaniya Garden
 5. The Sanam Rasdara
 6. The Water Garden

How to get here:

Bus No: 133, 145, 207, Por Or.13, Por Or. 8, Por Or.11, Por Or.7, 38, 83, 2, 25 Open daily from  06.00-18.00 hrs.
Admission fee: 10 Baht each

Ratchamongkol Hall is built in the architectural style of the Ratanakosin era. Inside is the exhibition of the King royal projects and the royal artifacts.

The botanic garden is the key objective of the park with 150 rai (aprrox 60 acres). Exhibition of several species of plants. This zone covers international garden e.g. Frech, Spainese, Japanese, English, American, etc.

Trapang Kaew resevoir covers 40 rai (16 Acres).
As per his Majesty's wishes to mitigate the flood situation of Bangkok.

This area is also an ideal for water sports and culture events.

Rommaniya Garden is a 50 rai (20 Acres) garden with an environment of natural beauty representing various regions of Thailand.
It is decorated with the typical streams, waterfalls, forests and a little slope (like hills) of Thailand.

Sanam Rasadara is a large garden zone with 70 rai (28 acres). It is grassy field, good for sporting event and other recreational activities.
